You'll discover a surprising number of things to do for an extremely small town, whether you're in Wandering for a day, a night, or a few days.

Those travelling from Perth to the South-East can easily find Wandering Tavern. With Dryandra, Boddington, and Williams only 30 minutes away and Perth 90 minutes away, it's the perfect setting to stop for lunch and make plans for the day.

  • Barna Mia and Dryandra Woodlands

Discover the mysteries of the woodland after dark.

Barna Mia is only a 30-minute drive from Wandering. A fascinating nocturnal experience, the gorgeous Dryandra Woodlands are home to some of Western Australia's most precious and endangered species.

You will be given a presentation about our nocturnal friends, the Numbat, Bilby, Woylie, and Quenda, when you arrive at Barna Mia. You will be given a guided tour with nightlights so you can view some of the activity after the sun has set and the animals are active. You won't be let down.

The Numbat population in this region is growing as a result of the dedication shown over a long period of time at Dryandra Woodlands.

  • Pumphrey's Bridge, Wandering.

Pumphery’s Bridge is a popular campsite at the end of Wandering-Pingelly Rd. The site is located right on the Hotham River by the beautiful old wooden bridge that collapsed some year’s ago. A particularly tranquil spot with a walk and a playground. There’s also a hall that can be hired out. If you’re interested in a little local history this is a great spot.
